Trip to Bangkok (Jan 2014)

Hey everyone,

Wow it's been a while since my last post. I became a student last year and with the hectic schedule and assignments, I didn't have time to write a post. Hence, please forgive me if the post on places that I went are incomplete as I may forget the details. Now, let's begin my long overdue post with my trip to Bangkok in January 2014, yes.... 2 years ago hahahahaha :p

We were lucky to have a friend working at the Embassy of Malaysia that time. So, we stayed at her place and her husband was kind enough to bring us to all the "must go" places in Bangkok.
Of course, a visit to the Hard Rock Cafe is a must.
Shopping at Chak Tu Chak market.
Also at Asiatique.
Desserts at After You
Window shopping at Siam Paragon. This is the place to shop if you want to buy luxury items. Another shopping complex that we went was MBK, less expensive and reasonable items can be found here.
Unfortunately, we didn't to go to a lot of places as that week Bangkok was having protests. Thus, most of the shops were closed.

We did get something from the trip though, managed to order 2 new suits with reasonable and cheaper price as compared to Malaysia. It was done in 3 days. A must do if I happen to visit Thailand :) ... well apart from buying the Thai silk of course....

Till my next post everyone!

XOXO

Holiday in Milan, Italy (December 2013)

Hey everyone,

After a day in Venice, the next day was a plan to stroll around Milan. With the Metro station just a few minutes away from the hotel, hence, it's easier for us to start our journey. The Metro will cost you €1.50 1-way.

Places to go in Milan:

Take the Metro and get off at Duomo to visit The Duomo Church.
Reminder : At the Duomo Church, you will find a few African guys trying to tie some stupid thread bracelet on your hand and he will definitely say it's a gift. After they tied it, they will ask for money and only God knows what he will do to you if you don't pay. So, please be careful.
Shopping at Galleria Vittoro Emanuele II if you like branded stuff. Don't forget to claim for the 13% VAT if you do shop here. It was a window shopping for me as I was planning to buy mine in Paris (yes, I'm that lazy to carry my stuff hahaha).
On our way to the 'fashion rectangle' (we walked all the way there) for more window shopping, we found this lovely park which is called Parco Indro Mortanelli. How I wish it was spring time.
More window shopping at Quadrilatero Della Moda.
Chanel
Jimmy Choo
Prada
Gucci
His dream car... Maserati
Louis Vuitton
Milan city.........

Holiday In Venice, Italy (December 2013)

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I wrote a post in this blog. So this post is a super long due post that I should have written in 2013 (yes, you do the counting). This post about my holiday will be in several different posts as I went to a few places which are Milan, Venice, Rome and Paris.

As I hate transiting, so we took a direct flight to Paris and took a cheap flight to Milan (Easyjet).
We took a bus to Milan Central which costed 10 as our hotel was only a 2-minute walk from the central.

Milan Central
We stayed at Hotel New York. Would really recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a cheap and descent hotel.

On the 1st day, we took a train from Milan Central to Venice (day trip) which took us about 2 hours to get there. Purchased the ticket earlier online to get a cheaper price.
Travel by Waterbourne in Venice which costs 7.00 1 way
Things must do in Venice:
1) Ride the gondola ((40 for 40 min)
2) Visit the Grand Canal

3) Strolling at Piazza St. Marco

4) Take a picture in front of Hard Rock CafĂ© Venice
p/s : An important reminder. Please be careful and hide your cash as best as you can as there are a lot of pickpockets especially in Milan. You'll be surprised at how professional they are.

XOXO :P

A Weekend in Penang

Hey everyone,

A few weeks ago, I accompanied my husband for 1 of his running event in Penang. So, converting it as a holiday, we decided to stay in Hard Rock Hotel Penang for a new experience.
Hard Rock Hotel Penang

This is the Lagoon Suite. You can jump into the pool straight from your room. So nice.... The room rate will be around RM700-800 per night.
That night we had our dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. The food was ok. You may listen to the band performance which will start from 10.30 pm onward  Lazy to get up from the bed? Never mind, you can watch it from the TV in your room. There's also a jazz performance at the hotel lobby but you will have to fight for the seats as they are limited.
Some of the views at the hotel:

This is the swimming pool area. Look at how big and fun the slidings are!
We had a wonderful time in Hard Rock Hotel Penang. Swimming, listening to the Jazz Band at the hotel, watching the free movies provided, strolling around the hotel compound. Would love to come back again.....

Miranda Kerr ... Or Is It Her Twin?

Hey everyone,

I have written a few posts on plastic surgery in South Korea but this is just amazing and ridiculous. A girl from South Korea had undergone a plastic surgery to make her look like Miranda Kerr.

She said, "I didn't do my forehead. I only did my eyes and nose. Besides that, I haven't touched anything. I didn't put anything in my cheeks and it's all fat".

She continues, "When I said I wanted to get surgery, everyone around me tried to dissuade me. In fact, people often asked if I had surgery even before I got it. I wanted to look like Miranda Kerr so I decided and went ahead with surgery".

This is how she looks like :

Do you think they look alike? In my opinion, not really......
